Red Oak Leaf Vase
Carved stoneware, a more sculptural relief of a red oak leaf. The background was carved away and more bold additions of clay gave deeper undulation and vitality to the leaf than the red oak leaf vase from the year before. Unglazed background, stained with iron oxide, and lightly glazed leaf surface.
6.8 x 5.0 Dia x Ht inches

(Reduction fired to cone 10 in an early Minnesota Flat Top kiln built by Nils Lou and myself in 1976.)
